This 200 motor I have that Im re building has at some point in its life , has had No1 con rod cap come off and punched a chunk out of the Ladder frame .

( no other damage , block is perfect so is the mains / crank and No1 conrod has been replaced, + no sign of piston damage ) .

My Q is , do you guys think its worth replacing the ladder ? - or refit it with a chunk taken out of it below No1 ? .
 
if it works then ok but personally i would replace any part in a 200 tdi.it is best running mint.it will also do 250kmiles easy if you keep it mint.
