I am struggling to resolve the following error codes on my 2005 L322 3.0 TD6 Range Rover.
I can reset the codes which reports as successful but when I immediately read the ECU unit again they reappear or are still there.
The codes are
B1 A00-46 Control Module
B1 A00-16 Control Module
U1 A14-49 CAN initialisation failure

I also have and don't know if it is related
C1 A13-64/intermittent pressure does not decrease when venting gallery.
This error I can reset but it randomly reappears together with the Suspension Fault on the display. It can often happen immediately you start the engine having not moved but other times whilst driving. Turning off the engine and restarting clears the suspension fault in the short term.

I have a good Varta battery fitted and have reset the steering Angle Sensor. I had a new main dealer compressor fitted 3 years ago and I have modified the silencer with the 3mm hole as has been suggested,

I would appreciate any guidance on what the problem might be and how to resolve it as I love the car.

Worth checking the electronics in the near side rear quarter behind the trim. Water ingress is a common problem causing corrosion in the connectors and worse.
Just because the battery is Varta, does not mean it's any good, what voltage do you have on the terminals?

Dataek Thank you for your reply.
The battery at rest is reading 12.15v and when the engine is on idle 14.08v
I have inspected both sides rear quarter sections and the spare wheel well and can find no wetness or evidence of wetness in there. The connectors I could reach were not corroded.

Battery is no good, at rest it should be around 12.7 or more and the alternator at 2K rpm should give 14.7 volts or more.
Low battery volts causes all sort of problems. I have had 2 Varta batteries fail on me recently, they are owned by Johnson controls and no longer good quality IMO.
The biggest battery that will fit is an MF31-1000 from Battery Megastore on line about £95 delivered (no connection just a happy customer)

Thank You Datatek. I have ordered a battery from Battery Megastore. I went with the Hankook MF60038 as it is the one they say fits the car.
The Hankook model you recommended has the terminals on the other side of the battery and I am not sure the connectors would have reached across.
I will give an update in a couple of days when I have changed the battery.

You have ordered to wrong battery it's the minimum that might work, the one I recommended fits, the terminals are central so it can be fitted either way round and has plenty of spare capacity.
Before fitting any new battery, you need to fully charge it.

Sorry Datatek I should have queried it with you first -I have emailed them to change the order and will hopefully can get it changed before dispatch tomorrow.
Thanks again for your support and guidance.

New fully charge battery fitted. This did not appear to make any difference. I have eliminated the suspension fault by fitting an AMK Compressor drier service kit. The other errors remain namely
B1 A00-46 Control Module
B1 A00-16 Control Module
U1 A14-49 CAN initialisation failure
Which are on the Remote Driver Utility Module. Where does this module live in the car? What might be the problem?

Corroded connectors and/or damp in one or more modules. Sorry the battery did not help, it often does but at least it has eliminated one possibility.

Thank you for the reply Datatek.
From the diagnostic tool the control module throwing the errors is XVL500050PVA (now superseded) which is the Venture Cam. I believe that the cradle for the camera is the control module. This is housed in the passenger footwell.
I have checked that the charging pins are getting voltage and I have changed the batteries in the Venture Cam - currently the Venture Cam will not pair.
So I will try and remove the interface cable to the Venture Cam cradle and look for corrosion there I think it is an 8 pin connector. Not sure if this links through anything else or how the Venture Cam interface with the car works?
Someone in the past has done a Nokia Bluetooth module upgrade to the fit module AH42-10F845-AA (in the near side rear panel) and this unit just has the fibre optic and two power wires connected but the Venture Cam used to work since I have had the car.

The venture cam is wireless so presumably bluetooth and just has two pins in the cradle to charge it (I think) mine stopped pairing a while back then one day just fixed itself.

Thanks backinblack - yes like magic the Venture Cam has paired and is fully operational again. Cleared the 3 Driver Utility Module error codes and re-scanned - they were still there. So on the lookout for corroded or damp as per Datatec's suggestion. Other than the rear nearside location are their any other areas to look?

Datatec's suggestion is the favourite place to start, other than that I can't help i'm afraid, I haven't had that issue so no experience of it.

The only use I have found for the venture cam is to stick it on a wheely bin and point it at the cars lights for pre mot checks.

@Saint.V8 knows more, I think the LCM is in the A post and suffers from water ingeress.

The LCM is indeed behind the kick panel just below the A pilar and tucked up inside. I had to change mine when I first got the car as it had a few issues.
