Does anyone know what this cable is for? It’s not connected, it’s in the fuse box in the boot, right side.

It could be a spare not used.
Try plugging it into your phone, ive seen those cables used to connect to your bank and drain your account to save you drawing money for the repairs.
Got to love landrovers :eek::p:D;)

It could be the plug for the receiver for park heating, without going out to the garage (its cold and dark out there !) to find my bit of paper that I wrote the wire colours down on not totally sure but one is permanent live, one is earth and the other is made live to bring the park heat on if that makes any sort of sense.

ha! thats what i hoped, can i make it so that my car is able to turn on the FBH with a remote?

I did answer about this on the other thread you started on AUX heat, but yes you can as I have done, do you have aux heat and vent come up on the dash or just vent ? if both then all you need to do is bridge between the live on that plug and whatever the colour wire is in the middle (well I think it was middle) to make it work.

On the dash? How do I make it show either of them and where?
On digital display in center of dash where radio and trip computer are, there should be option for heat and vent. In other news found wire colours on plug they are, red/yellow 12volt positive, brown/black negative (earth), and white/green is 12 volt supply to bring in park heating and door mirror heating. Also I used a Vellman vm130 two channel remote for mine.

How do I go to that option on the dash?
I guess yours being 2006 model its touch screen so best have a look at the drivers hand book, mine is the older model,press the menu button turn the knob, highlight which you need and press select type of thing. I take it you have heard the fbh running ?
