Looking for recommendations and a ball park figure to repair rusted through sills - both sides at the rear on my 2006 L322.

Sadly just failed it’s MOT and would really like to get it back on the road as it’s been a good workhorse! Based in Leeds/York any recommendations or prices based on experience of this work would be great!

Hope u don’t mind me adding but had the same happen to me on my D3 where it failed it’s mot on rusty sills, i managed to get new sill panels for mine which I intend to get replaced as garages have been quoting me at least 2-3k

So if ur handy with a welder can save yourself a small fortune

Corrosion has been synonymous with Land Rover products for decades, in many cases at a much earlier age than yours.

Some things never change.

Only the P38 bucks the trend with many still relatively rust free at 25 years old.

Mines got some aluminium white fizzing powder on the doors, but underneath it's pretty good.

LR slipped up there

But then my 37 year old classic is still free of any serious corrosion & has parked in the open for the past 16 years.
The secret is spending money on rust prevention treatment, rather than accessories.

Have you seen the prices on leboncoin Keith... There are couple of companies over here rebuilding them as well. 30k upwards

Yes they are a lovely old thing especially in V8 form .. full of character & reliable if maintained properly.
Neither of which attribute can be applied to today's showroom queens.
