Hi there
I see a few companies offer to recut a new landrover key if you send one off in order to replace worn out rubber buttons. Or they can replicate a key if you have the key code.
So 1. How do you find out your code? Will the usual OBD readers do this?
2. Can anyone recommend a company to use to copy a key as feel a little nervous sending off my key along with my address for returning it when lo and behold that car will be sitting outside?

Cheers in advance
Tom

Don't send off your key ! Otherwise they will have a copy of your key and your keyfob transmitter code and your address so they got everything they need to steal your range !!

Just buy the casing and rubber kits and take the key to a local key cutter to get it re cut.
Iv just done the same to both of my fobs - they work like new.

Just transfer the pcb, battery and proximity tag into the new case. Be careful not to loose the small proximity tag when opening the case as it's very small !
Hope this helps
:)

Fabulous, my worry exactly!
Did you get your key cut at a local Timpsons type place?

any local key cutting shop will do it - just tell them not to worry about the fob programming blah bblah.... as your only changing the cases over ?

did u buy the cases yet ? as i will send a link of the company i used which i found good ?
