@steveeasyHi,
Ok waiting for the Foxwell to turn up and have ordered a lead and waiting for that to arrive. I had decided to replace the piston ring in the compressor, just been and had a look at it and quite a bit of oil has leaked out. any ideas ?. Thanks
Steveeasy
As for your air bag light you need diagnostics first as there is no ring, its a squib or clock spring (cable really) which has to be fitted in its mid position to allow equal turns left and right get it mounted wrong and it breaks and has to be replaced.its oil alright. its a wabco pump. when I looked at it a few weeks ago there was a little oil in the well. looked this morning and was sure there was a lot more there. but if its a dry pump then its been spilt in there who knows when. Ive had a couple of weeks not doing much to the RR. the more I think about it, im sure there is little wrong with it. everything else aside, when it goes in to fault mode while parked its low static air pressure. So I am going to replace the piston ring. Its been recalibrated,(poorly) so low is high ish. but its level. I need to reset it (when the stuff turns up) I think ive a good idea how to sort the Air bag light. disconnect battery and the following morning remove the steering wheel and clean the ring.
Have to see how it goes, but im sure all will be well at some point.

hi there @steveeasyUpdate, So the suspension seams to only go in to fault mode with code static air pressure when filling. I was told the compressor was overheating and needed replacing. it was running around 9-11 bar. So I bought a new ring kit. when I took the old one out it was tapered,as was the cylinder. So I put the new ring in. started car up and the pressure dropped to 5-6bar. Not good. So out came the new ring and back in with the old one. pressure now 4-5 bar. Think the compressor needs a new cylinder or replacing completely. The Foxwell has arrived so ill see if I can recalibrate instead.

Hi dwarfer,hi there @steveeasy
some of those rings are f in useless
i went through 3, two from one seller and one from another, they say they get some back from time to time
so i went with a cylinder and ring from the bay' sorted my issues, and the same thing happened to mine , the ring only repair barely made enough wind to notice, so i too had to put in the olden before changing the kit below..
some one once said to me on here... 'some of the stuff these days isnt worth the pollution its wrapped in' thats true those rings i had were recycled flip flops.

hi there @steveeasyHi Dwarfer,
Ive looked on the site. was it that part that for Audi BMW x5 that you used ?. cant find one specific for l322.
Steveeasy
hi there @steveeasy
yes the link i sent was the one i used, i think it does bmw x5 and audi all road, i went for this as the rings were about a tenner, and bagpipin andys are about £25 with p and p, so for £15 i thought a no brainer, it really did the trick, i had andy fultuns video on at the same time as i was rebuilding mine just so i didnt make any mistakes, type in bagpipin andy on you tube
Really, well there`s a surprise. Not unusual for it to do something but no telling what that something will be, could be both ends up, front up back down, one side up other side not moved you think of a combination and chances are it will happen ( well thats mine and @dwarfer findings ) but best of luck.Just put the Foxwell on it to try and recalibrate the heights, shock horror it did something. .don't seam to be able to reduce heights though.
