Hi All,

Last year I had to replace the coil back on my L322 Vogue, and ever since it has been doing some strange things:

1. When you turn the engine off and on again, the trip counter resets.
2. You cannot reset the trip counter with the stalk.
3. Every now and then (a week or two) the clock and date resets on the main screen.

Is this a known problem? (Can't seem to find it on the forums anywhere) - I'm not quite sure where to start. I have put a new battery on as a test, but no change so I'm back to the old battery.

I had this....never found the cause...it just magically stopped doing it....I put it down to a dodgy earth, loose contact in the back of the sat nav unit or instrument pack, or the button in the cluster making intermittent contact.

That's so frustrating! Could I have dislodged an earth whilst changing the coil over - is there an earth on the coils at all?

Coils are earthed via the engine cylinder head using the bolts they are secured with....one of the coils on each bank has an additional earth strap to it.

It is more than likely a weak battery or a loose connection in the instrument pack etc...these are complex beasts and fault finding is a long and torrid tale of woe - hence another reason I sold mine!

Thinking aftermarket parts here, but I had to change a couple of coils on mine and I went el cheapo, no problemo........
That's the last time I eat a Cornetto that was assembled in Spain;)
Today's weather = Scorchio sangriento
