I've been getting a 'droning' noise at approx 30mph and above, and it seems to be slowly getting louder.

Researching a bit it may be front differential issue or wheel bearing.

I can occasionally feel a little vibration/knocking under my right foot when on the floor in the drivers seat at over 30 mph, which i'm guessing may point to the differential being the problem?

Is it likely that changing the diff fluid would help or am I looking at a big problem? I'll do the front wheel wobble test for the bearings in the morning but if all there is well does anyone have any advice what to try?

many thanks

Knocking could mean it's a CV joint or even a prop UJ.

You mentioned vibration/knocking under your right foot.
Idid say knocking, apologies, it does feel like a knocking under foot occasionally but the noise is a continuous drone.
I think I may have found the source of the issue. I jacked the front right of the car up to check the wheel for movement. It was fine but then I noticed there has been a fluid leak at the rear right of the front tray. I ve attached a picture of the tray and then a shot from where it appears to have come from, which is adjacent to the front right wheel. Does this look like a front differential issue to anyone please?

Are you referring to right as sitting in the car?
The diff is on the left.
But checking the diff level/changing oil would maybe give some clues. Diff fluid could get to the right and leak but it’s difficult to see what is actually leaking.

Ah thanks for that info, as you may have guessed I know pretty much nothing about this area.

I can't seem to find a video on you tube for changing the fluid on my model (3.0 vogue 2006) so not sure if I have the tools for the job!
Hopefully I'll get some time off tomorrow or Friday and get the tray off to take a closer look!
