hi all ,me again
2003 l 322 td6
Ive had ongoing suspension problems ,repaired compressor ,new height sensors etc .Always managed to clear the suspension codes until today .
Saga history
removed the solenoid main valves under the drivers door sill to renew the seals . Came off ok but the rubber mounted bolts have separated so i put some old car rubber inner tube above it and used plastic cable ties to support it . What a rotter to get the screwed 6 mm brass air nuts in as they seized solid on the air pipes . Next time i think id get some 6 mm pushfit connectors and some pipe to make it easier to get the brass connectors into the valve block . Any ways im digressing . Plugged in my rsw software and it reported front valves ,rear valve solenoids ,reservoir valve fault etc . This was correct as id disconnected them so ,ok i can understand . Tried to start her and way hey flat battery. Jump started off a slave battery no problem . Running for a 10 seconds and the fault light ,well the led in the up down arrow selector comes on . So i re connected the rsw and its reporting can bus error.
I swapped the battery for a fully charged one ,disconnected the terminals and left for 10 minutes then touched the positive to the negative cables together for several attempts .
reconnected the terminals started her and within 10 seconds the middle hard fault comes back on .
Any ideas please ?
when i turn it off the compressor can be heard running and then it shuts off .
my friend plugged his i soft in and it recodes can bus error 32 ?
on one site it says the ecu is under the seat but i always thought the air eas was in the passengers footwell?
ive removed the three connectors on the valve block i disconnected ,repaired and used contact cleaner ,dried them and put them back on but same results .
Im completely lost with this can bus business .
Any insight ,help gratefully received
Many thanks for reading

It is inadvisable to use the...

You can inadvertantly fry the can bus, far better to use the scanner you have and work your way patiently through the various systems.Ironically the longer you leave it after reconnecting th battery the better.

Where can I get a good accurate can bus diagram . Rave gives a good diagram and shows where the connectors are BUT it shows splices but not their locations ?

2001 RR322 some model may vary some items shown wiring diagram not shown in connection list mainly the radio and comm's hope they are of help

many thanks ,apparently according to rave the canbus wires connect to various modules BUT along the way they splice the cables . I cant seem to find out where these splices are .
Again many thanks for the help
