So the juddering has now come back again when on petrol, runs fine on LPG though.

And the engine light has come on too, so plugged it in and its saying its an p0202 injector malfunction on cylinder 2
and also a p0302, a cylinder misfire detected

Back to the garage then tomorrow :( quoted £198 inc materials, labour and VAT

is there anyway of flushing or cleaning the injectors? will running on BP ultimate help?

Injector malfunction means the injector has failed electrically, or the connection to it. Flushing will not help i'm afraid.

Cheers for the reply :)

So is it definately a new one then? It's odd as it seems to be intermittent, the engine light has now gone off again and it's driving fine?

Cheers again!

If intermittant - could be wiring a bit iffy....

Dunno if this steers you in the right direction or not, but of late we have had a few gas converted Cayenne's in with cold start misfires and injector codes and everyone so far has been down to bad connections on the lpg kit where the original injectors have been disconnected and plugged into the lpg kit.

That's great thanks, sometimes it's juddery on petrol but switched to LPG and it runs smooth as anything

It's only when it's on petrol. So it could be a connection issue, il have it appart tomo and check the connections.

Otherwise I might be coming to see you! I take it from that you have a garage and do LPG aswell??

As you can tell I'm not great with cars! I don't mind giving anything a go on my disco because its not my everyday car. But the rangie worries me that il end up doing more harm than good if I play around with it lol

Is ther an easy way to get to the injectors on the v8? :(
Do I need to get to the actual plug on the injector to test it??

I assume any wiring in the engine shouldn't be twisted together? Lol
That might be those dodgy connections then :censored:

Yep, I think it's where they tap into the injector feed for the LPG

I'm going to re terminate everything properly tomorrow and hope it cures my injector fault

Could be why it's intermittent!

What a bodge !!!

Bloody DIY'ers

Get it fixed ASAP

Is
that the connections to the injectors ?

Although it was fitted before I bought it, iv got the paperwork for the conversion, so it really shouldn't have been.

Nothing that I hate more than when people bodge stuff, thers no need for it atall, just lazy!

OH YES,
You're playing with electrics that obviously have been butchered, you've no idea exactly what's what and where.

So today The rangie was really bad misfiring and stuttering.

Striped it down and reterminated all the dodgy connections, while I was at it I checked the plug on injector 2

Turned the key and..........perfect, my beautiful v8 burble was back :D

Been for a drive, no probs, and it changed to gas fine aswell which it wouldn't do yesterday

Soooooo I'm really hoping that's it all sorted now! Fingers crossed!
