Just answered in the other post....

Glad to see you did start your own thread...

The most common fault causing this is a duff ignition switch, they are a common fail item unfortunatly...

right thanks for that do you know if its able to open and possibly fix or is it a sealed unit
they sound expensive as everything else on the RR
thanks for your help aswell

I think it is sealed IIRC...not sure on cost...the famous Bay of E has S/H units for around the £70 mark or so....

I trust the Battery Voltage is good!

yes brand new battery and new alternator it is like having a flat battery though i will have a look on (you know where)
i do think you may be right as i cannot think of any other reason
all fuses are ok
the only thing it may be related to is when i pulled into the fuel station i had to brake suddenly due to the plonker in front trying to revers out without looking

um not sure what is that then ??? and where is it located on the 38 then??

The Inertia switch is fitted to cut electrical supply (usually to the fuel pump) in the event of a crash...some P38 Inertia switches are so sensitive that a violent braking action can trip them...

Looking at RAVE, the L322 doesn't have an inertia switch fitted...

If a sudden braking moment...it could have dislodged the electrical connection to the ignition switch...

Remove the centre console surround and take a look at the ignition switch, it may just be a case of ensuring the electrical connection is clean and secure!

Did you check the ignition switch??

Hippo, most Diags require Pos 2 on the Iggy switch...if the iggy is fecked, no diag connection!

But it could prove the iggy is fecked!

+1 to all !

sounds like the OP wants us to magically diagnose the fault :D

Good God, I go earn my pay for a few days and you lot descend into a rabble. It is coffee with bourbons. Whilst with tea it is plain biscuits, such as rich tea or if pushing the boat out digestives. I mean really chaps !!
