Tell this guy where the ignition relay and fuse for it are Ant he can have a look at those as well. You can post piccys of them i can't.
Check Fuses 18, 25 and 53....in the Glove Compartment behind a flap at the back... looking at the Schematic these are ignition related...as attached

Ingintion Interlock Relay is R199 on Connector 1455 and is mounted behind the battery on the bulkhead....as attached....

hi all you guys & girls? trying to help this noobie
right i have got to the ignition wires, ie the block that is on the bottom of the barrel and some of the really thin wires have power and if i turn the key they are working and go off with the key so i would think they are working but the other 2 wires 1 is red and the oter is brown if i remember right well both ar dead no matter what the key does
so i will check rave to see what that is all about does that give anyone any more ideas??

On that info...check the 3 fuses I posted above.....there should be power to the RED wire from Fuse 25...

right strange but here goes

the purple wire on the ignition is dead and from what i can make out it goes to the fusebox and that would be fuse 25 but that fuse is ok and there is power going to it
now that would tell me that the wire has a break in it ??
any ideas

Hmmmm - Yeah RED and the RED/BLUE should be live....if there is juice to the fuse...but not to the switch connection...sounds liek it is buggered...

Try Removing the Fuse....and find out which fuse leg is the Battery side by metering to ground (which you would have already done to prove power to the fuse...) now Using a Continuity Check...probe the other side of the fuse leg to the switch connection to prove the wire is either open circuit or has continuity....

If it is open circuit...bingo is your name-o if it is proved good....then yes you have an interesting problem!

Ignition Coil Relay is in the Electronics Bay under the bonnet (BIG black box with allen bolts holding it together)

R243 on Connector 2089 - Image attached....

Doubt this is your issue mind as I believe this just provide power to the individual coil packs on the spark plugs (IIRC) .... Also Check out the Relay I post previously too....

Did you bell out the Red/Blue and/or Red wires to the Iggy switch for continuity? What was the result?

hi there is no continuity from those wires to the ignition
its almost like a plug has come apart but the wiring diagram does not show any connector block

So there is power to Fuses 25 and 53....

No Power to Iggy Switch Connector Block on Pins C0028-5 RED or C0028-6 RED/BLUE .....with fuse plugged in??

No continuity From Fuse 25 (5amp) on the RED to the RED connection on the Ignition Switch Connector

No Continuity From Fuse 53 (30amp) on the RED/BLUE to the RED/BLUE connection on the Ignition Switch Connector.....

Most odd that two wires would go simultainiously.....

But if there is no continuity or power delivery...thats is your issue....you could try making up some fly leads and bridging the exisiting wires and see if you get joy when you turn the ignition switch...if you do, time to replace some wires...if still nothing, time to dig deeper!

Geeze don't bridge the wrong connections !!!
He Mentions he has RAVE, so I am hoping he will follow the Wiring as per...and will create the fly leads to/from the right places!

He mentions power to Fuses 25 and 53, but nothing to the switch...all that is needed is to fly lead between the fuse and the switch so there is power to the switch and see what happens...but yes, checking and double checking is an absolute must!

whats the worst that could happen

Hi to all of you that tried to help me its fixed now it was the fuse box
where the fuse goes it had a faulty solder joint
so re soldered and all is well
wouldnt of been possible without all your help and patience
thanks
