Came across this video of some tit in a supermarket carpark. What a knob head, but that Powerflow exhaust sounds cheeky - turn it up.

Hey wait a minute, looks like mine

Got a 900 degree donut out of mine on the spot, joys of the farm, big concrete pan, nowt to hit, virgin snow no chance of hitting a kerb with a rim ( mind you would have given me an excuse to cahnge the rims as mine are not the best looking

oh yeah and it was diesel, which means more driving

less time on the garage forecourt..:D

Must have sounded like an old Fordson tractor :D

Dunno i was inside so couldn't hear

but it eventually ran out of go at 900 degree spin. was in second and eventually it ran out of go

certainly if i got a tractor to spin like that i would be sick or scared ****less

Just what we need an idiot giving ammunition to all those 4x4 knockers. At a time when a lot of 4x4 owners have been out doing good deeds in this weather and even getting good press, you get one arse that spoils it.

And that settles what may i ask? Bet it did the idiots traction control and viscous coupling a world of good. I could fit an external speaker and a sound track if i wanted my diesel to sound like that. At 30 mpg i can afford to.

PS Just take a look at the people in trouble on the forum, then note which version of the vehicle 99% of the engine problems occur on.

Thanks Hatman, I just couldnt be arsed to argue the point. Seems some people have Diesel syndrome.

I aint augueing any point - i have one of each - thers no doubt that a V8 on full song takes some beating, but doozils are undeniable better if yu want to submerge them.
horses for courses.

personally a low-ish revving V8 to me always shouts "POWER" - I prefer the sound to a V10 or V12 any day.

Don't know about that, the sound given off by a spitfire pulling a high G turn flat out takes some beating and that was a V twelve. At 2240 rpm flat out could be called low revving though.

As a lover of the V8 and a respecter of all things diesel there really is only one solution to this debate, and its under the hood of the new ones: the 3.6 TDV8. Now there's an engine!

Now all I need is a RRSport thats been on its roof in the ice showing of its lovely 22inch rims to whip it out and stuff it into my P38. Sorted!

PS and all the BECM experts to sort out all the probs/mods that would go with that conversion. Anyone seen any updates on the BMW3.0d conversions lately?

There has been a couple of posts over on RangeRover.net but they seem to have a died a death...

You can do great doughnuts in the snow with the TDV8, errr my mate told me, i would not dream of doing anything like that myself

Nothing sounds nicer than a pushrod V8 , but when his liners slip he will be sorry!

I am still a V8 man though, two at mo!

you see whats happening here, you have a small penis, you bought a diesel! you want a large penis so you are considering the modification to make it sound like a V8.

the fact that you have a beard just goes to show the mpg matters more than dignity!!!
