Just joined to look for others that have made unusual but practical modifications to their series landys to make them a little more user friendly and reliable.

Im looking to change to LEDs, a new stalk, move the dash switches etc about and move to a GPS speedometer, upgrade electrics and reinforce the tub to take isofix at the moment most of these are just ideas. Shes currently back in NATO green and has sat in the barn for a decade since the photo below...

I don't know why you would do any of that, it's a Series Land Rover after all. Enjoy it for what it is.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your point but for me, the fact it is an upgradeable Landy is why I love it. It means that unlike most other vehicles around, it can be whatever I want it to be.

I get the die-hard Series III fans who like them kept as originally built, but to me, it is a modifiable and upgradeable tool and a fun one at that.

I've had it since I was 14 and the alternative is to get rid of it, as in its factory form it is no longer fit for purpose.
