To be bluntly honest, think it is more about driving to the conditions rather than driving like a plank and blaming the car. Driving on a road in bad conditions just as you would in good conditions, then blaming the car, that you should already know the foibles of, is a little tiny bit stupid. Bit like the story of the bloke in the states who put his new camper van in cruise control then went in the back to brew coffee expecting it to drive itself. He was then surprised when it went off the road. :D:D:D

Except that story was an urban legend. The nationality of the driver has changed depending on the nationality of the person telling too. ;)

But the rest of your post is valid. Too many people think because of kapooters you can drive in any conditions like the road is super dry. Those people are gonna have a bad time.

Perfectly true, that's why you'll see more 4x4s in ditches when the weathers bad. People think that cos theyre easy to get going, thelly be able to corner and stop just as easily!!

The bloke in the states had bought a big RV off a well known company and sued the company for $10 million.....and he won!! But then he lost when the company put in an appeal!! The company did have to put a specific set of instructions and warnings in the Owners Manuals about cruise control though!!

Just shows how stupid some people can be!!
The Laws of physics are finite and absolute....

2.5 tonne L322 + Low Co-eff. of Friction of the Snow don't mix...

Drive sensible in respect to the conditions and be safe...

i once heard about an amarican (again) that made a claim agaist black and decker after he riped half his face off
he had an itch up his nose he couldent reach and it dint say anything in the manual about puting a drill up your nose

Tyres make a lot of difference.

Still think it is hard to beat an old Defender 90 if you're looking at off-road surfaces though. My old one went practically anywhere.

I'm disappointed too! I can't believe how poor my P38 is to drive in the snow!! I know I have road tyres on and I know it's a heavy car, but still....
