£75 inc VAT is about right if it includes burning (acid-dip).

Had mine done at my local place (40-miles away up the A1) and they were very good. No warping (see the box-section bolted to the bottom mounts) and yes, I removed the mesh first (cut the welds and then bonded it back in afterwards.
There was some slight rippling to flat panels but nothing that shows when assembled.

@XRIZLAX I think you're about to get a bit busier!!
What sort of price (and method) for a repaired disco 1 chassis?

You should think about setting up some sort of group deal for LZ - I'm sure it would get people motivated to get their projects underway... It certainly does for me just to know that there's someone running a galv plant who knows about landies and would care a bit more than the average dippers - discount or otherwise.

Ditto.

Im thinking that xrizlax might have mentioned this before, if he wanted the trade.... ?

Otherwise, its kind of like having a load of gold under your bed, and thinking noone else would want any! : )

He apparently did, but it went unnoticed or something? Or maybe he didn't want to push his business openly on the forum to avoid offence..
It's a bit of a drive for me, but does make me want to get a few LR things sorted!

I do cnc work. Its one of those things where i assume ive mentioned it, but i dont push the idea - possibly if i did, id get a load of people asking me to make trim stuff.

This kind of stuff -

When i re-make my 101s dashboard, im going to engrave and mill an overlay for the existing dash, with more sensible controls.

Not as landrover specific as galvanizing though!

(i did make these keyrings though - )

You could make some loverrrrly LZ badges - Like the Oval, but not infringing copyright etc etc.
