I bought a Tacklife 800A pack from Amazon for £73. A bit pricey but it is the most impressive thing I've bought for ages. It is supposed to be able to start 6 litre engines. I used it on the wife rover 75 diesel and the sons Nissan Navera diesel and my series 3 all within one charge, it's brilliant.

Good spot. I have been looking for one of these. When I looked at Amazon I had a 20% voucher that could be applied to the cost, it took the price down to £66. The voucher might be account specific but worth a look if you are thinking about getting one of these.

I've seen a few people on here not liking the NOCO brand.
I've got the NOCO GB70 2000A jump pack. I've used it on a weekend camping trip mainly to power and use my iPhone and use the built in LED flashlight. Surprisingly at a 50% charge, I was able to jump start a friends Mitsubishi Pajero diesel so he could drive home after the camping trip.

I had one of these for years was rated for a 2.5D. Good new, after few years in cold shed it needed charging full the night before use. Worked on my 3.0 90, 270 hilux that had 2 battery’s, just about managed with 3.2 shogun, no chance with the P38 so I gave it away. All doozles.

I still have one of those, took the Lead Acid gel battery out to use for something useful as it was feck all use as a jump starter on anything bigger than my micro tractor.

Ye it definately couldn’t cope after couple years. Good enough for my mates van guarantees he can start for work on cold mornings.
