Good day to you all. On my 1999 4.0 P38 the fan speed control on my heater control spins freely. Is this normal? Also sometimes the lines go across, sometimes they don't, especially when it's very cold out, they don't. And on top of all that, the fans never work at all. The book only comes on when I use the recirc. air button. Any ideas? Thanks for any feedback.

They don't like the cold much.
When you say it spins freely do you mean there's no stop? because thats what their like but there should be notches as you turn it , try turning it slower. If the fans are not working have you tried checking the fuses? the book coming on means there's a fault and it could be the recirc blender motor is stalling, registering a fault.

Fast, slow, tried everything. I replaced all the relays and checked all the fuses. I picked up three new blend motors on ebay and will tackle that when the snow melts. Thanks for the reply.
