Trying to be clever I knew the RR would be laid up for about 10 days or more I took off the negative lead of the battery to save the charge.
Locked the car by pushing down all the buttons and locked the drivers door with the key. Job done.
Went back a couple of days later to load up the parts that had arrived for the MOT work to be done and the key won't work. Seems like the barrel moves far too freely and will not pop up the button to open the door.
Obviously can't use the fob.
Would be grateful of a known route into the car. Pop the bonnet? Sprung bar down the drivers door to lift the lock? Can I get to the battery to get the lead back on?
I've got all the bits for the fitter and now I can't give him the vehicle. Gutted.

Yep common for the little bars to drop off in the door, and off course most only find out when they need it:(

I have managed with the wire though the door top before but its frustrating.

Obviously peeps will be reluctant to give specifics on an open forum.

I realise that specifics should be via email or personal messaging etc. Pop the bonnet seems a bit easier than going in via the door top.
I'm happy to give out contact details for a solution. All these lovely parts are waiting to go out on the road. I'm amazed something simple has ground everything to a halt.

Get a jump lead on the starter live and the other on an earth and start there. You should be able to get to starter from underneath ;)
