I was really missing not having a Landy so yesterday I bought this Disco 300 tdi ES. Plymouth Blue, full leather, upgraded suspension, new Grabber ATs on the front and really good Coopers on the back. 136,000 miles, MOT until September and tax until the end of the month. The cambelt's just been changed too. The belt needs reconnecting for the air con (supplied) and it's needs regassing too and I'll pop my stereo in.

It drives really well, so a lot of motor for just £1400!! I'm well pleased, what do you think?

I had an "N" reg one like that , its the one in my avatar . I payed about 1700 for it 5 years ago but mine was an auto with the electric seats ....and no back floor ! I hope yours has more metal .....enjoy , thats a lot of disco for the money !

Yup. The wheels are really nice. The spare's the same. The rear arches were bodged a bit and may need welding properly. The fronts were plated over with galvanised, but it passed the MOT in September

I was looking at the alloys too Shocker, nice set of rims, didnt know they were called Boost alloys though.

Boosts , top of the options list at the time IIRC , got the grey and silver ones on my ES at the mo.....mine aint half as tidy though! Used to see them more often on sportier models like XS and on V8s , anthracite alloys were more common on 300tdi's....they do have name but I forget....just for a change .

See , this is what parking your ES upside down up a tree (see avatar pic) gets you !

The chap gave me the plastic sills. I think the previous owner to him removed them as he wanted to go Laning. The last owner put the steps on but didn't put the sills back. I assume they'll fit back with the steps still in place. It looks a bit sparse with a gap showing!

TBH you are better off without them , they just hold all the wet ****e in there against the metal and lead to sill rot . If you have steps on the sills are protected from side bumps....not that the plastic did much protecting !

That is a nice lookin' disco:)

let us know how it goes. keep us up to date on any teething problems.
good luck.. and enjoy:)

No it came that way, I was planning to peal it off the moment I got it but it's kind of stayed, but the RR handbrake cover was my handy work

I like it . My ES came with some walnut plastic ex works but it looks a bit lonely , thought I might finish the job ....... if I ever get time off mechanical jobs

One I bought 13 and bit years ago and the one 10 years before that.
