Lovely looking ES and for a very keen price.
Enjoy it and as Shocker said, leave the covers off. They didn't offer protection quite the opposite as it happens.

If your planning on chopping the bumper valence off, then do yourself a favour. Go on eBay and buy one that's already been chopped and then sell yours with the spots. They go for fortune.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip about the sills/covers. I've put 40 miles on it today in the rain (because it was raining). The front sunroof is sealed, complete with old sock! The guy I bought it from gave me a new seal he didn't have time to fit, hopefully not too tricky to do. There was a small drip in through the windscreen seal so that should be easy to sort. Other than that it pulls really well, gear box is very smooth, steers and brakes in a straight line and theninterior is in prettybgood nick for a 17 year old Disco, so the weekends will be fun

if you put the sil covers back on make sure that the metal work is in good order before you do.took ours off to check and everything was ok so cleaned and undersealed and waxoiled then put em back on, but they are a rust trap ,,, nice looking motor by the way,, ron.

I think I'll put them back on after I've tidied up with a wire brush and hammerite. It'll look better.

I got the air con working today with a little help from a friend. We re-connected the belt, checked the fuses and relay, re-gassed it and hey presto, ice cold air con, ready for the summer. The viscose fan was supplied by the previous owner but not fitted. I read a few threads on the subject and decided not to bother re-connecting it. I've used it for a couple of weeks now and the temperature gauge doesn't rise above the horizontal so it looks to be ok.

I also fitted a stereo unit in. The Land Rover one with I was knackered anyway and just for show! It picks up FM fine, but no MW or LW. I'm a total bore and listen to radio 5 and test match special in the summer on long wave. I've was advised to buy an antenna booster from Halfords for £10, which is on order, so hopefully that should sort the radio as well.

A good morning really!!!
