Today I finally got my series 3 on the road
Flow through the MOT!

The thing is though, after driving about here and there, a little bit of splashing a light came on!
I have no idea what it is!
Can anyone help?
Just topped up oil and water, car is running at a normal tempurature and theres no smoke

here is a picture of the light
(the little blue one on the control panel next to the fan switch)

ABS or ECU Malfunction warning lamp? :D

Seriously though have you thought of googling to find out what the lamp does? and then checking to see if there's any water in the dash that might be causinfg a short circuit? Otherwise yu may well be posting tomorrow to say that you need a new dash as yours caught fire

to me it looks like full beam, it is blue after all! drive at night and see if your lights change

That is the optional bluetooth system only offered on certain series 3 vehicles. If you also have the additional satnav module then the light could mean a traffic info update.

;)

sorry.

Having looked thru me ravers manual apparently it's the Moron with a stoopid question in close proximity. warning lamp

glad i dont own a series as they seem very complicated, but while im here does anyone know the biggest size tyre i can fit on me 90 with a 2" lift fitted :D

Mine's a fairly basic petrol S3 and doesn't have extra warning lights but the only ones I can think of that are additional to the standard (oil, cold start, hi beam on the speedo and charge on the fuel/temp gauge) are the low fuel light and the brake failure lamp. The diesels also have a heater plug light too, but I'm guessing they use the same lamp as the choke on the petrols, ("cold start")
The brake failure light is fitted to vehicles with dual circuit brakes and indicates a difference in hydraulic pressure in the two circuits.

So apparently you lot cant answer a question seriously...
Its a fair question from someone who doesnt know that much about the car...

Dont know why i ****ing bothered joining this site... waste of ****ing time

And yes this is a rant!

Ill find out what it does on my own, a bit of help from other series owners would have been nice, but meh maybe not

Sorry - I also get a little peeved with peeps who can't be bothered finding out how this site works. For every sensible answer you get a dozen posts of irrelevance, obscenity and abuse. But you usually get an answer. It's fun, and I rather like it.
