I was quite calm at first..then when the rac guy said what could have happened considering i was surrounded by trucks...it hit me what had happened lol. They couldnt find my wheel..but apparently there were later reports of a wheel between j16 and j17 on the m6 lol. Too late by then i was already half way home on a recovery truck. Lol
very lucky girl, glad you're safe.

Tis amazing how far a wheel can travel on its own.....so one punch a hole in the side of a pub once......no sign of the car it came from :confused:

i had a near miss once coming through stirchley one night on my bike.a mini lost its offside front wheel, narrowly missing me by millimeters,it hit the car behind me and was never seen again....very strange

bloody hell mate, thank fook its all ended ok, ish. sounds pretty common, a works van had exactly the same a few weeks ago on the M48, had driven 20 mlles on motorway then off the wheel came. I think I'll be checking mine monthly!!

I had a similar thing nearly happen to me in the summer up in the lakes. Fortunately I only lost one wheel nut before I managed to stop but one was half a turn from coming off and the others weren't far behind. That was also a near side front wheel. Scared the **** out of me and my passengers. Glad nobody was hurt in your case.

A couple of weeks after my wheel came off i got a message off the girl who lives 3 doors away asking if i could help her. She was on her way to wales and as she pulled out of the petrol station her wheel fell off too. Luckily she wasnt too far away so i could help her. Coincidence or suspicious lol.
