Pump up, pull the EAS relay under the passenger seat and see what drops!

does anyone have recomendations about an ebay seller who has renovation kits for the p38 valve block ?

I got my kit from an ebay seller called 'landrovermall', based in the Netherlands, but was the full kit with diaphragm, in the black rubber. Was under £30 with the postage. I remember Wammers advising against getting the kits made in red rubber.

Only problem with the red rubber is it is to soft for the NRVs IF there is any wear in the seats or nose cone. It tends to deform and cause leaks. Fine everywhere else.

and still , the fuel is "cheaper" in sverige than in the United Kingdom".
I´m a bit embaressed to say, I´ve been driving around England,Scotland, and ireland on many holidays , in vauxhal, focus, citroen :crazy_driver:
But never in a real car
But I hope the day will come, when me and my sons will come over to you in the rr or the 130 .

Did you do the checks in the how to section before you go buying stuff I see your looking at seal kits what about the leak if you have one ?

will do the soapwater check this weekend, and check the hoses going in air tank , but i was thinking an old car will need fresh o-rings and new air bags anyway.
when everything about the eas is sorted I´m going to enjoy the athum/ winter down here in the southern parts of Sweden , may even spend a weekend in denmark(living very close to the bridge going to Copenhagen)
Good night , tomorrow morning , early as h..l I´m of for the first day of the roe season , with some luck there will be a roe buck in the back of the 130 :)

Venison yummy
Ok have fun

Update , of Course the "new" compressor ,is a non working unit (lesson learned:-[)
Put the old unit in Place , and via my lap top I managed to get air into the system , BUT !
The comoressor is not running unless i run it from my computer , will be no change in heights when I try to get into "off road" height , ecu trouble ??
Regards Hw

Read through my "How to" do the checks. Good air pressure is essential. Get that first, then work through things in a logical sequence.

It is very unlikelt to be an ECU problem, it's one of the few reliable bits on a P38. As Wammers said, first you need enough air pressure.
Could be the thermal switch on your old compressor is shot.

was thiking about the thermal switch ,if it´s shot" , will the effect be that the compressor won´t ru at all when using the car normally , without having it conected to the laptop diagnostics?

Yes that would be the effect. If there is no continuity from Black wire on compressor plug to Orange wire on same plug the thermal switch is duff. On no account connect Orange wire to power, switch will be destroyed instantly.

feels as if I´m getting closer :)
and if I can manage to get the compressor running , I will check and change every "old" and aged part in the eas, airbags, give the valve block new o-rings and so on :p

a leatherman tool and some (which I don´t really have) patiance , I managed to switch the back ends of my two compressors , looks as if the thermal resistor in the original one was shot :)
and suddenly the p38 is up on it´s "feet" again, finally I can carry on with changing bits and parts, to get it a good runner before winter!!!!

You can´t help love and hate theese cars , AND owners :):)
