Is my pump chipped?

Just had a thought that my pump might have electronics in the box at the back of it, summat to do with alarm of key recognition.

Like to know before I bash it off the pump:eek:

Thanks:)

If there is a wire on no4 injector your pump is a fly by wire EDC and i wouldn't bash anything off if you want it to work ;)

No fancy electricery controling the fuel injection system, its mechanical.

The stop contol is hidden and there are three wires instead of one so I thought it was maybe like my old pug 106 with a chip thingy near the stop contol :)

if its on the back, covering where you think the stop solonid should be then is for the alarm/immobilizer. It has 3 wires going in to it...all black I think.

Aye hack it off :) or until you get to the shear bolt heads that hold it on, then tap them round with your tool of choice..chisel/screw driver/vise grips.

one of the wires going to the eletronic bit is ignition live...use it to work the stop soloniod

Thanks mate,

I got the shear bolts out of my pug pump by dremeling a slot in what was left of them and using an impact driver, came out easy.

I'll have a go tomorrow:)
