surely there must be Freelander owners out there who are happy with their car !! so many people say they always go wrong.....but how come there are so many on the road

Absolutely delighted with mine. At least it's not a Pretender

yes i am well please with mine there a been no problems as yet, i have a lot of reciepts for £1000`s in the service history all that could go wrong has been sorted. and the doors are ok.

Im happy with my car, i got 51 plate 2.5 V6 freelander ES had it nearly 5 year now not had any major problems with it at all, still looks brand new hardly any rust or nothing on it either. I was told v6 uses less fuel comsumtion to as the 1.8 for a big car has to work harder. Only getting 27.miles to gallon wouldn't like to see 1.8 then lol I read review that top speed of it 113 mph but i somehow manged get to 130mph in sport mode which is the top speed on speedo.

Happy with my 98 L series, get loads of hands on mechanical/electrical and general repair work to keep me busy in my spare time.

More than happy with my 52plate TD4, used everyday on and off road, not extreme off road, but it still manages the mud and whatever else i have thrown at it so far, also brilliant on the motorway, and the fuel economy is something else. but then my last 4x4 was a Diahatsu 2.8tdx which supped diesel like it was going out of fashion.

Regards
Jack

Happy with mine, now the injectors have been fixed!

On my 5th freelander, so i must be pleased, finally got the right engine (TD4), model (GS), Colour (Montecarlo Blue) and extras that i want :)

my 1.8 Kalahari ok for now,

due to overwhelming paranoia because of what you normally read i did think it was dropping to bits but turned out to be nothing really after following advise from the helpful souls on here.

done nearly 3000 miles in last 2 month and the biggest worry was when i ran out of screen wash god damn it

I have had a 2004 TD4 Commercial for a month now and had the MAF sensor changed by the dealer (he wasnt a happy bunny, lol) but so far I am quite happy with it. I am sure there is something not quite right with it somewhere but cant put my finger on it.

I wished I hadnt found this forum though, after reading through all the posts I am getting paranoind about every little noise etc.

It does seem to be the case that a lot of folk who don't own or haven't experience of FLs are all too willing to come on here and tell the rest of us what a fine example of a Land Rover they have and we are the ones that made the mistake. I'm on my second Freelander and having just returned from a 3k round Europe trip am well pleased with this one.
