Hey guys I really am sorry I've been so busy that I haven't gotten on much and I should do as I started this here thread. I'm gonna join the fb page now too. I've still not finished my defender. It is running but I couldn't decide what exactly I was gonna do with it. I've decided I'm not gonna keep it entirely original. I'm gonna pop in some comfy seats and insulate the whole thing.
Now on the subject of insulation does anyone know where to source some reasonably priced sound deadening/insulation? Some of the prices on the web are crazy and most of the stuff is in the UK so with sterling conversion and shipping the price goes up again. Ice also seen one smug git on eBay actually saying on his ads "it's a pity they've stopped making defenders cos not the price of parts has gone up by 30%". Anyway that's my update for now. I'm definitely interested in the meets, I hope the fb page is about members bartering and selling at a decent price and not a portal for dealers to make a mint on.
P.s.
I'm ex army (hence my landy buzz) and I was a cross country driving instructor when I served. Now I'm sure there are loads of guys out there that have loads of cross country experience but when I'm up and running I'd be open to showing new comers some basic do's and dont's.
