Not saying much until tested but it is for removing oil from the injector to ECU loom.

Currently on my dining room table full of alradite precision before starting on stage 2.

I'm lying on the floor quivering with it in best Rocky Horror Show style.

Look forward to seeing the fruits of your labours MJI.

I've fallen off my chair too but I think it might be the whiskey!

Well I am now getting a bottle of Westons out of the fridge.

the glue is drying very well, will drill it out 10mm or 11mm tomorrow and then try to self tap a 1/4" BSP item into it.

The bit I am using has the word STORM printed on it.

cant you just cut a gap in the loom sheathing so that the oil will drip out before getting to the ecu ??

yu do realise that the oil wicks down between the strands of the wires, therefore it is unlikely that you will stop it.

It seeps along the wire so I am going to blow it up!

Edited for accuracy! :p:p

AHemm! :D Seriously if no one tried anything new or thought outside the box then nowt would get done! Here's to one Great British invention (Land Rover) necessitating another (hopefully!) Great British invention - MJI's loom blower outer-er :tea:

Plastic is too hard to self tap so I will be buying a 1/4" BSP tap before using it.

Unless I may have one, got a few metric not sure on imperial

Am I right in thinking that the replacement looms are no better than the old ones for oil seepage? I replaced mine on the weekend, swapped it for an 'Allmakes' one listed as OEM by Rimmers, looks exactly the same as the one I took out. Couldn't see any evidence of sealing at the wire ends....

I also have the oil in the red plug, but could not for the life of me get it off the ECU to clean it out. I had release the latch but it won't come any further, as if the pins and sockets inside are stuck together - felt if I used any more force it would break. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not enough money in PP to buy the correct tap. So waiting until pay day.

Bad month

Still waiting on damages - 3 weeks ago I said I am better put them in, they still haven't, I have a set of tyres, a bearing, a remap and gallons of oil all lined up.

My D2 was a distress purchase, best of the few I saw as the MOT ran out on my old car not that long before I got it, saw loads of cars and only the LR products said buy me!

My keyfob repair sideline is dead, too many idiots buying a repair then demanding a fob, then negging me, something about Corsa owners I suppose. Last time I raided PP it was for the new injector loom.
