Hi all just joined your forum but have trawling through posts for a good few months.
Live up in the frozen damp wetlands of Lancashire, just down from Winter Hill.
Current landy is a 2001 Defender TD5 - had it since Nov last year. Had to get some sanity back into my life after losing my senses and owning a Fiat for 4 years (grrrrr aaaaarrrrh).
Had lots of other landys over the years from a series 2a to discos and defenders,
TD5 (or as my wife calls it - my money pit) has the van body and is currently going through what feels like endless repairs. At least, after many head scratching weeks and splinters in my fingers, I managed to seal the leaky roof. Got her through the MoT - eventually.
Just postee question about transfer box seal replacement so if any can help - much appreciated.

Bills so far include two new swivel housings, new windscreen and seal (how the hell they conned it through the previous MoT I don't know) chassis repair welding (well it is Defender), new dumb irons, new front outrigger O/S, new track rod ends and N/S front wheel bearing and front discs and pads. Poor thing is an escapee from Scotland and the Scottish winter road salt has taken its toll. So now its sorting out oil leaks. Onwards and upwards.
