right its doing my head in, every now and then I get coolant loss from my thor v8, I have checked all hoses that can be seen head gasket is fine as no creaming, I have changed the anti freeze inlet gasket by the air intake as this was loosing coolant. Went out today got too the shops and it was ****ing out from some where blow me it looses enough for the exspansion to empty but the engine doesn't over heat. Got back topped up the exspansion run it too temp waited for the fluid too **** out and nothing not a drip no leak help me out lads anyone have a clue whats going on if any one lives near Stafford with an idea a good brew is waiting or a pint if you like too have a look:confused:

checked all that heater matrix fine no misting or wet floor run out of ideas going too strip down all the coolent pipes next weekend and flush out the system hopfully find the problem

First find out where it's leaking from, and depending from where it could suggests that head gasket has blown,

had a good look around again today still no joy, don't want too remove the engine if possible, went on line and found that k seal for coolent systems had good reviews went and brought some for £10 does what it says on the tin. where ever the leak was it aint no more and the engine sounds sweet fingers crossed its done the job or either postponed a engine rip out cheers for the advise lads

We had a leak which turned out to be very awkward to find, it was coming out of the water pump tell-tale hole when running but stopped when the engine stopped.

Finally saw it when it leaked out underneath. Had a new pump ready, took an hour, including buying a big Wilkinsons plastic container to catch all that expensive coolant in.

Up and back to Durham last weekend, not a drop of water used.

I had my heater matrix out and changed the O-rings, but in fact there was no sign of any leakage anywhere.

We also run with higher than normal level in the header tank, easier to check level and see if anything has gone out. Gives you a little bit more of a safety margin.
