Ive just bought a discovery 2 td5 2000 and my interior lights dont work when i open the any of the doors they all switch on normally but dont work when i open the doors or when i unlock the car any ideas ?????

The automatic operation of the interior lamps is managed by the BCU which provides earth path for them when it gets signal from one of the door switches. If u are good with electrics and u have RAVE i can tell u where to make measurements.... if not u'll need a good auto electrician cos albeit it seems a simple matter when BCU is involved things are getting complicated.

what is BCU ?? i will give most things a go . only got the disco a few days ago so hoping to sort a few issues if you can give me some details i might give it a go

thanks paul

Just picked this post as my interior lights don't work either when you open the doors etc... Anybody know a good Landrover friendly auto spark in the Merseyside area?
