Probably wrong place but more used to posting here.
I have 3 x P38s which are about to be scrapped due to ill health and lack of time
1. 1995 4.6 208k was my daily driver until ill health put her off the road for a bit an she then failed MOT on emissions. Apparently needs a new engine.
2. 2000 4.6 145k only used a few times until either the water pump seized or the tensioner seized but lost serpentine belt. Bits replaced but head gasket gone.
3. 2000 4.0 80k ABS playing up and heater removed.

All worked well until they didnt.
I am in the sticks so a fair bit of travelling required to pick them up.
Anyone interested?

I'd of taken number three for the complete power train if I'd of been closer๐Ÿ˜ญ
Sorry to hear your having to get rid of them ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Both saddens and resonates with me. Now my health has improved slightly I regret losing the โ€˜38. The other possibility is that the improvement is the effect of non RR ownership ๐Ÿค”
Itโ€™s better to have loved and lost, than never had 3 broked p38s in process of renovation pi**ing on the drive ๐Ÿ˜‰ โ€ฆor somesuch he said

If there is one thing I've learnt over decades of vehicle ownership (in my case that encompasses everything from cars to vintage trucks) is that if you are the enthusiast that cares for these things whilst spending both time & money keeping them on the road they end up up owning you rather that the other way around

I think @MrGorsky is going to take the LPG off his GEMS. Stick it on that '95 and it would probably pass emissions.

OK nobody seems interested so I will scrap them, after stripping the eas pumps and valve blocks as they will fit in the one working one

I would be interested in the 1995 front seat belt buckles ? (it seems most on eBay are 1999 onwards & different size)

How about I have a word with @MrGorsky about swapping his LPG onto it and if we successfully get a ticket for it you can sell it and you can split the cash?

There are so many bits that are hard to get that could easily be taken off before going to the scrappy.

BECMs, locksets with keys.
Door locks.
Brake booster pressure switch.
Any/all easy to get to electronic modules/amps.
ETC.
The list of easy to get off but desirable items is quite long TBH.

The scrappy wont know/care, but lots of valuable items.

Its a shame that you cant fix or get somebody to take them on.
