Hi folks,
Some friendly advice needed re 2.5 dse intercooler hose.
First of all, call me stupid but how many hoses are there as I see one hose from the right hand side of engine injection side running from rocker box to somewhere near the front rad and on the exhaust side I see one also running from the front near the rad then connecting to a steel pipe and another hose coming of the other side of the steel pipe and running down to what I guess is the turbo? This hose is very oily on the outside and seems very soft when I press it, should this be changed as a precaution? I don't seem to have any power issues at present, also I guess there is another air intake from the air intake box which runs over the rocker box with a small pipe attached going into a circular plastic casing with another pipe coming out the other side and entering the rocker box, what is this? Just need to know what hoses are what and should I be paying attention to detail the condition of these.:)

There are three hoses, as you correctly found out :) if the lower hose from turbo to pipe is oily, it is either gone, or it does not seal very well. Try to wipe the oil away and check in a few days.
The small round container going from rocker cover to air supply to turbo is the oil separator, as the engine sucks air from the rocker cover.

Only two of the hoses are the same on all diesel models the rocker one is different depending on egr or not ps its the inlet manifold not rocker:eek:
