Hello fellas.

I recently purchased a JVC KD-441 for my freelander and am looking forward to replacing the stock one because i really need an aux socket. I understood i will need the DIN tray and that will i have to go through hell to remove the dashboard pieces in order to get it installed.

My question is: if i want to keep my steering wheel controls (volume, next song) what sort of cable woud i need except for the ISO one connecting to the aftermarket sound unit? Cheers!

By the way happy holidays to everyone have a good one!

look on incartech website to find your existing setup then chose the relevant magic box and leads so that you can carry on using the steering wheel controls. You will probably need a lead to go from your new head unit to the old wiring as well.

Thanks a lot lads. Special shout out to Epicruiser that site is incredible found the Din tray and the steering control ISO.

may sound odd, but check your horn works once you've changed it as one of the earths is routed through the radio wiring, been a few instances of horns not working after radios replaced.
