Recently I started on a project to restorate my TD5 bulkhead from Rust. Due to its large areas of rusting I am planning to replace the bulkhead and came up with an idea to buy a TDCI bulkhead together with a complete dashboard. I read a few posts on the net regarding this type of project but none really stated if all went well or what changes needed to be made especially on the electronic/wiring side.

Any tips regarding this project is greatly appreciated.

and any suggestions from were to buy a complete tdci/puma bulkhead+dash is appreciated too.

thanks
Karl

Doubt you will find a complete how too... Seen the puma dash conversion question come up a lot, jist of it is always why bother? You'll have elec loom nightmares for a start and at the end of it you'll end up with an inferior dash and bulkhead. Keep the vents, get a restored and galvanised bulkhead from ashtree, paint it, slap on some sound deadner and fit it with your td5 bits. Cheaper, easier, better result.

You will need to fit an auto gearbox as gear stick hits the lower dash you also need to fit tdci trans box for speedo to work an that's just the start
