I wouln't have thought that was necessary, it isn't on my 300tdi, the correct torque should hold them tight....
Transit engines list 6NM and 180 degrees, which is a bit sketchy to be honest, there must be a torgue setting in a workshop manual somewhere ?

Fuel injector clamp bolts - Stage 1 6 Nm 4 lbf∙ft
Fuel injector clamp bolts - Stage 2 Further 180 degrees

Are these new bolts, typically this 'stage 2 degrees' thing means the bolts stretch so you should always use new ones.
