Hi All,
My Facelift 05 has started missing on one cylinder, the first one on the left looking in the engine bay
It only misses at just over tick over about 1200 and clears once reved up and runs nicely on a run
my question is if I were to get a second hand one or a refurb can I just put it in? or does it need to be coded?
Hope that makes some sense,or is this maybe not the thing too do. Ta..

Get the same injector and just fit it. There's no coding needed for a DIY change, although I believe LR can tell the EDC which injector is fitted.

The injector numbers are different, so get a replacement with the same numbers on it. ;)
Would I be mad taking one out of the wife's car? both same year autos,or will that just mad
my reason I have to be careful how much I chuck at this one im already up to £600 trying to get this starting/running
the problem out, replaced HP pump filter, had the pick up out of the tank, that was clogged right up, thought I had nailed
it. need to watch it.

If you swap injectors use a new copper washer and 'O' ring each time or you'll get blowing past the seals. I regularly swap bits from donor or other car to test results....but then I have 6 Freelanders!!!
