Hi redbow from Newcastle I have a defender 200tdi doing some work on the injector pump so looking for the manufacturer stamp on the side nothing there any one come across this and why is there none thanks
 
It’s a Bosch VE pump. There’s a rectangular flat area on the right hand side of the pump (facing the o/s wing) which will have all the stamped numbers on.

Hi had the pump off there are no manufacturers stamps model pump number all the stuff you should see
 
Mine appears to be just an etching on the side of the pump, which was a PITA to try and read in situ. Gave up in the end as I did not really need it, If I ever take it off I will look then.

Hi thanks for the reply like I said took the pump off give it a clean there is numbers on in different places but not we're that at supposed to be

Not sure tbh, if you want a second hand one , Guess it is just ask around. Wait until one becomes available.

If I wanted a recon unit as part exchange, which it sounds like you do not, then I would go to Bob Becks diesels,( localish to me )which is where I got my injectors refurbed.

Hi I whant to keep the one I've got and have a spare like the saying better to hav and not need and need and not have I am talking to some one on eBay but the same thing with the stamps they must all be the same
