Well to update everybody, it’s definitely a 2.5na engine with corresponding injector pump (fuel solenoid and timing belt cover probably should’ve been a clue for me :rolleyes:)

Well, considering that you made that post twelve days ago, and nobody replied to your question, I'm assuming that you found the relevant information elsewhere.
I swapped out the old dog of a pump I fitted to my 2.5 (with timing chain conversion), for a pump which had been lying in a box for at least ten years.
To my amazement it worked perfectly, virtually no leakback, and a much better running engine.
Now, 1500 miles later, it's starting leaking from the input shaft.
There's play in the shaft, which probably explains the variable tickover speed.
I'm wondering if that £13 repair kit will actually solve the problem long term ?

Yes sorry as tottot said, it’s the throttle shaft that’s leaking. I haven’t yet bought the kit however I’m not quite sure it’s the right one for my pump anyway as the gasket is different to the one shown in the full kit.

What I’ll probably end up doing is just buying the full kit to make sure I definitely have everything I need, it’s only £12 more for the non-genuine and £20 more for the genuine so not too much more of a hit
 
The £13 kit above is to sort the throttle shaft, nothing to do with the input shaft.
Sorry, my mistake, I meant the throttle shaft, or more correctly, the governor control shaft, if I'm remembering what I was taught about diesel fuel systems correctly
 
When I had mine off I had the full kit [ the large O ring on body needed doing] I used their non genuine.
When removing top cover it is important to note which hole the little spring inside hooks to so goes back the same.

I think I've got about five pumps lying around in various states of disrepair.
I'll have a practice on one of those before I attack the one I'm running on.
Starts and runs really well on this one, so I really don't want to start swapping pumps again.
 
I had not before done a rotary type pump but had fixed Simms piston type. Video's on the you tube.
Bundy Bear out in Aus does a good one, for tractor but it is the same pump.
