Hi

My 97 2.5D has no power and the Injector light is constantly on. I have replaced all the intercooler pipes as one was delaminated and the diesel return pipes as one was leaking. I have checked all electrical connectors but can find no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks gents.

When you say 'Injector Light' do you mean the Glow Plug indication light, does the engine start?

Have you checked the needle lift sensor cable from number 4 injector is properly connected and in good nick?. Is the multiplug clean?
Not trying to teach me granny to suck eggs but you may not have thought of it.
Good luck

If the injection fault light is on you may be wasting lots of time and effort to find nothing, much better to get it on Testbook and read the Bosch codes, then do some live data readings to see what is going on.

Yes get the codes read, but highly likely to be a failed number four injector.

Thanks for your suggestions... I put it through a test and it came up with an error code 142- Not sure exactly what this means but will find out tomorrow. It seems to be injector related, possibly the number 4! Huge thanks to Butch and Nutty from Tim Fry for the use of their ECU diagnostics reader this evening!

Thanks again all :)

If it is indicating code P0142 - that is one of the Lambda Sensors......as attached....

LOL! Been told its the number four injector that's at fault.... Happy with that as it will not cost an arm and a leg to put right.

Thanks again for all the help!!

At £160.00 it may not be an arm and leg but it's a couple of fingers and several toes.:D:D:D
