I'm halfway through changing the copper washer on my injector has it's been blowing. I say "half way", but I haven't managed to get the injector out. Any advice? Not sure what tool I should use to get it out. It's a bit stiff too. It's on a 200tdi.
if you've got the clamp off and it's still stuck and you cant be bothered to wait for some release agent to work it's magic - place a towel, thick jumper or heavy blanket over the injector, remove the IP fuel solenoid wire, close the bonnet and turn the engine over very briefly - the compression should release it
Cheers. I've given up for the day. Back to it tomorrow. Soaked it in wd40. Hopefully it will work it's way loose over night. Might need a new injector after todays efforts though. Thought it was threaded and tried to unscrew it. Amature mechanics! I'll cause more problems than I solve. Might ve to treat myself to some gas pliers.
Don't use pliers? Ahh! Might be too late for that. I've been trying to unscrew it for ages before realising it wasn't threaded. Might have to treat myself to a new injector too. It's only money! Highly over rated.
dont buy new, get a set of good used one off ebay for a fraction of the price, send all 7 away for reconditioning (assuming you've fecked one) - you've then got 3 spare uns
go buy yourself a slide hammer tomorrow, you'll need to adapt it slightly to use the threads to pull on
hi i had this problem too so what i did was losen the injector nut and give it a good dose of wd40 .then go and give it a run. it should just pop out you will know when it has poped out because you will get some smoke in you cab and there will a clinking noise. once it has come out tighten it back down . DONT FORGET TO TAKE SOME SPANNERS WITH YOU TO TIGHTEN IT BACK DOWN
Went and bought a slide hammer today. Couldn't get it connected to the injector. Think I might take it back and just give in and take it to a garage. Thanks for all the advice though.

Excellent. Cheers. Not taken the slide hammer back yet. Probably won't bother. I'll give it a go. I tried to attach a set of mole grips like the slide hammer shows in it's destructions. But although they're the same brand they don't fit.
Took the landy for an MOT today. Not good news. Got a list of things to get sorted before the 9th april. Not sure a bmw specialist was the best garage to take it to though. They just don't have the love!
