Hi just got my 1985 110 out to take it for a VET in ireland and the indicators are not flashing on either side would this be an earth problem? and where should I look for it
Do they work with the hazards on?
if NO, then it could be -
Fuse compartment - by the gear lever
bulbs, or just a bad fitting between the bulb and the holder, mine go some times and I have to 'wiggle' them back into place
Hazard switch, as everything goes through the hazard switch
if YES
Fuse compartment (trying to remember, i think there are fuses for signals, and hazards separately)
indicator switch on the steering column. maybe a wire has gone feeding the switch, or something inside it.
They are earthed individually, on either side - so it would be weird if a single earth was the cause
if you have an LED circuit tester (basically a nail with a bulb and a wire on it), you can work along the wire and test things.
as in the come on and stay steady?Just tried it when I switch the indicators on either side they come on but don't flash, if I switch on the hazards they stay on but the cabin indicator goes off
I mean the indicator dashboard lightsjust to make it clear, when you say 'cabin lights' do you mean the light on the dash telling you the indicators are on, or do you mean your interior light???
Great thanksI hate to say it, but it might be in a few places. A google search says it's behind the fuse panel (near the gear lever), you need to take the cover off and then unscrew the panel it's self. It should be on the back. Depending on what has been done to your 110 over the years it might be somewhere else on the dash, but start with the fuse box.
I will I've ordered a new one from your link but it takes a while to get to Ireland I'll take it to bits after the vet tonightlet us know how you get on
