Hi there.

My names Karl and I'm new to this forum. I've recently bought a disco 2 (W-reg 2000) and she's got a few issues!

The front passenger side indicator wasn't working but if you thumped the wing it would come on.

I looked at the bulb holder and where the free connector on the loom connected to the bulb holder, one of the terminals in the bulb holder had corroded off.

I refitted it while waiting for the new one to arrive but since doing so, none of the indicators now work nor the hazards. The only light you get is the trailer light flashing when left indicator or hazards is selected but not when the right one is selected.

Anyone any ideas?

I've put a voltmeter across the front left indicator loom connector at the bulb holder free connector and get 0v all the time. Even when indicator or hazards are selected.

Cheers in advance,

Karl

I'm not sure if it's like the Disco 1 but I had similar and it was the indicator relay under the driver side footwell.

HI do you mean the indicator warning lamps are not working at all on the dash either? only the trailer warning?

yes the external indicators and hazards don't flash at all. when you turn them on using the stalk or hazard button, the arrows on the dash flash once only and from there it's only the trailer light that is flashing on the dash and that's only when left turn or hazards is selected. Not when right turn is selected.

Check fuse F29 interior fusebox(compartment under the steering wheel), fuse F14 engine bay fusebox...if both are good unfortunately it seems that the problem is from the BCU(behind the glovebox) or water ingress in the interior fusebox
