Ordered parts last Monday morning. A set of door hinges etc, and a number of windscreen wiper parts wheelboxes etc. They didn't bother to send the order out until Thursday. It arrived on Friday while I was out working so I didn't get to open the box until the evening. Well they've ticked the picking list that everything's there but it sure as hell isn't. Mighty ****ed off I rang them on Saturday morning only to discover that there's nobody there until Tuesday. FFS what a mickey mouse outfit. I can't do either job I intended today as there are parts missing from both. They will be getting a very angry call on Tuesday morning.

I do sympathize! When I was restoring my series I kept getting sent damaged parts from Paddocks, damaged wing ,Chrome swivel, it wasn't until I refused the order containing a broken leaf spring that they actually took notice! On a visit to Paddocks they actually told me they thought they were dealing with a bit of a nut who damaged them on purpose???? As so many had been returned made me laugh but I now use Famous four a great bunch and ive never had a problem. Regards. Chris

I've never used craddock before but I've had fun and games with Paddock's which is why I thought I'd give Craddock a try. I thought by ordering on a Monday if there were any hiccups it could still be sorted by the weekend. Wrong. These days I tend to judge a lot of companies on how quick they send the goods out and four days just isn't good enough. Never mind the missing items. Craddock have had the only order they'll ever be getting off me.

Haven't used any of the above, so can't comment on them. Tend to use LRDirect, who haven't let me down yet!

I tend to use paddocks as I find their website better than craddocks however if it's something important or special I go to lr direct or blanchards not the cheapest but when you ring you speak to people who atcually know what there doing versus paddocks who has no idea what your talking about until she transfers you to some one who does.
Why not get him to answer the phone in the first place!?

Have used Crad and PAd , but think they are not hungry enough and feel because they have been around so long they dont need to try , so dont use now the smaller outfits are usually better on price (not always) but are definitely quicker . JMHO

i use LRDirect

also have used padds and cradds and not had a problem with them either time

I tended to use Paddocks and have always felt I've had good service. It's their courier Fedup Express I have the problem with. Got a tracking email from them so could see the goods sitting in the local depot not 20 miles from me for 5 feckin days (2 of those were the weekend)

Got delight though as they ask you to fill in one of those "how was our service?" emails so slated the courier. Lot to be said for the Fleabay feedback system.

I used to deal with lr trade parts,i rang them one day enquiring about an item with a view to buy,and the guy said that he hadn't got time,it was1.00,and wanted his lunch,so naturally I shop elsewhere,JGS 4X4 now and the service is 100%.

Give Island 4x4 a try.
They always post same day as long as it's in stock (always is) and arrives the next morning!
Prices seem very good aswell, cheaper than cradocks.
I've used both Pad. and Crad. in the past and never again, postage times/customer service are shocking.

I use lr direct where I can, never had a problem, not had a problem with paddocks either on the odd occasion I've used them.

Well after a 15 minute phone call this morning, most of which was waiting on hold for them to put me through to another person, and explaining the situation to no less than three different craddock employees, I have been assured that my missing parts will be here tomorrow. The fact that last sunday was my only opportunity for another fortnight to do the jobs was of no concern to them. They screwed up and I won't use them again.

I tend to buy 95% of my products through ebay. If i get ****ed over theres no sodding around its a straight Paypal claim, they take notice much faster, either cash is refunded or replacments sent out asap.

They all have bay stores...

I've have used Brookland Landrover and find them very good. On offs from ebay, always shop around for deals tho.

I'll never use craddocks again.

Their customer service is absolutley discusting. The old guy behind the counter wants to learn how to smile and some basic manners. Each part I ask for he huffs and puffs because he has got to walk out the back to find it. When that's his job!!!

They say one thing on the phone, then when I get there (40 min drive) it's a totally different story and contradicting.
They don't deserve the business.

At the total opposite end of the scale. I've had faultless service from britcar and totalparts. They stick to their word 100% everytime. Good pricing and very friendly and helpful.

Like noggin, I use island4x4 as well. Cant fault them on anything. I used famous four last month for an alternator, again cant fault them. Even willing to move on the prices if you tell them you are from here!
