Hi, I am just picking up on this thread through frustration! My '55 reg Td4 Freelander has had recon injectors, new glow plugs, oil & air filter changed, fuel filter under osr wing changed. An EGR bypass is fitted and I have a Synergy2 with cab switch and Pierburgh maf sensor. All was fine until 2 months ago when I went to start the engine and it just turned over. No smoke and sounded like out of fuel and it has a full tank! Both engine management lights were on at one point, but now they go out after cranking. I can hear the pump running under the wheel arch and seems to run longer than 2 minutes? Anyway, I drilled a small hole in the plastic manifold, squirted some easy start in put a self tapper in and cranked the engine, it fired without hardly turning over!! Now what does this tell me please? Is it low pressure in fuel rail, leak back from one of the recon injectors? I would sweriousl;y like some assistance with this one please.
