45k on 2 freelenders, blimey winu!! you must be mad lol. I promised I wouldn't go over 4.5k buying mine and modding it ... i got to 4k then decided to buy a disco 2.

Good stuff though mate, i will have to be a traitor now and buy the mag.

:)

Exactly my point.
You'd get a new un fer £30k and I'd bet that you'd spend the other £15k on a tratter.
Unfortunately they don't make new ones anymore but there's still 1 year old versions on low miles from main dealers. These are prepped to a high standard and look as new but with 1 previous owner and low miles. that's the closet yer can get to a new one. I have to confess I wouldn't buy a tratter and certainly wouldn't spend £15k on one. The thought of watching me money evaporate as the rust worm eats it is a terrifying thought. £50k is a lot to spend on doing 2 cars up but it's his money and if it keeps him happy and Freelandering then good for him.

Re you 5 door: you fitted Robinson springs to Monroe shocks. Did those springs give you much of a lift or have you fitted a lift kit from Simon as well?

Nope, no spacers. Spring + new shock give 40mm + 205/80/16 wheels. So we got abut 55 mm lift

Not my cuppa, but wtf, it's his money, so it doesn't need justifying other than 'he can and did' ...

Nicely done by the looks too .. ;)
