Good call mate BUT it only wont calibrate on the landrover T4 dye to not being able to enter the correct values as they only went up to 800mm ! Its not been tried on anythibg else eg allcomms ? Dont suppose you have one do u ? Also how much was solenoid an how hard long ti fit bud

When you read the calibration instruction the vehicle MUST be in standard ride height and my Snap-On has a base setting of 740mm which I then alter to the actual measurement

800 actual is way too high for standard height so therefore is too high an actual to input in yours and possibly any machine

If your car was in front of me I would step back from car, ignore all you have previously done, ignore all the "expert advise" you have paid for or have been given and start from scratch as I had to (fortunately for me I "stepped back" BEFORE I spent any money)

Go to boot and disconnect the T-Piece air pipe from the compressor

Stand back and wait !

If car drops on any corners then refer to my "linked to" thread again !

It doesnt cost anything to try the above and will help no end in sorting out your problem !

+1 :)

Right mate tomoz i will do exactly that . So simply remove the gold pressure relief from next to compressor in wheel well an im expecting the suspension to drop an air to come out of thr pipe is that right !

Almost !

The black 8mm plastic pipe from the compressor is connected to the T-Piece by a push fit connector

You need to push the collar toward the T-Piece and this will allow the black plastic pipe to be pulled out

THATS IT !

Sadly if air keeps coming out and the car drops then you gonna need a solenoid valve assy

A clue is also in the name Land Rover give the part :- VALVE - LEVELLIN

£378 + vat

Yeah ive had it off before mate to check if it was faulty . I removed the valve an put the plastic part in its place no air came out an it dint drop BUT that was before i changed all the parts . Ill post on here tomoz evening wen ive removed it again to see if owts changed! Watch this space mate

The yellow arrow points to the collar

Push the collar in towards the T-Piece

At same time pull the black pipe out of the T-Piece

Thats it

UPDATE !!!!!!! Firstly PAULVASEY - The EAS IS working perfectly, goes up an down straight away NO probs whatsoever mate !!!!!

RS2000CUSTOM - Ive just removed the pressure relief valve altogether and NO air leaked AT ALL and more importantly the suspension DID NOT DROP on ANY corners and i left it twenty mins ???????????? What now buddy lol ?????

PS - measurements from bottom of rim to arch are now -------------------->

OSF 795mm
NSF 810mm
OSR 780mm
NSR 795mm

SO, strangely, its 15mm OUT EVERYWHERE side to side AND front to rear ?????:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Let me get home later onto pc instead of iphone and will advise

Sounds good though if no air loss !

One thing though you said earlier " it will not go down" yet you just told paul it does ????

Sorry mate YES SUSPENSION WORKS PERFECTLY. Goes upto offroad back to normal down to access and back to normal VERY quick VERY smoothly. What i meant was landrover couldnt get it to go down in calibration as it kept failing due to a figure being out of range. im scared to plug it in my mates diagnostic machine ( even though it accepts values of 840mm ) due to the fact when you enter calibration mode the car raises an if it raises ABOVE the 840mm i can only input that and as we have already discussed this would be LYING saying its lower than it is which will in turn RAISE it THEN ILL BE BUGGERED !!!

when you enter calibration mode it should only go to calibration height, this could actually be lower than you are at present. if youre mate has all comms id go for it if i were you

funny enough id also thought of that PAULVASEY ! BUT im worried it wont lol bit of a catch 22 ? the actual heights as it stands are not THAT FAR out at the min just out enough to need calibrating ! I am sure its a calibrating issue just as i said if it raises i could be in a predicament ? Just waiting for RS2000CUSTOMS input when he gets home
PS ive also PMd EIGHTINAVEE my full life story lol

PAULVASEY it cant possibly get any higher there is a 150mm / 6" gap between tyre and wheel arch lip !!!!!!!! I could fit my head in it mate

the actual heights as it stands are not THAT FAR out at the min just out enough to need calibrating !

Right am at PC now

Now even more confused

Can you get your head inbetween the tyre and arch or is height not THAT FAR out ???????

Personally if car was in front of me I would carry out a calibration with 20" wheels fitted and then do Live Data Monitoring so as I could see what data is actually being "seen" by the ECU etc

If you not got 20"s then I would deduct 26mm from the reading gained using your 22's

putting 20inchers on just to calibrate would be ridiculous, if you want to be picky about accuarcy the deduction is 25.4 mm

LOL im a gambler but id want odds on wi this !!! the diagnostic computer my friend has is called a autel maxidas diagnostic and analysis system. have you heard of this machine it does seem to be the bees knees but its not allcomms or T4 (even though T4 couldnt do it) but as ive said it says to input correct wheel size BUT we struggled to see where you input it ?? Im at a point where i would pay for someone from anywhere in this country to travel to mine an do it lol !! My mate is way too busy for a week or so for us to try his an tbh everything he knows about rangies ive learnt him from wat ive learnt from here lol !! This has got you stumped guys ant it ????

PS i cant get my head in no more that was before it went to the last specialist when the articulation validity fault happened an then dropped to arse its sat as the readings posted earlier now an as i said 15mm side to side an 15mm front to rear really strange

have you calibrated with his maxidas? and did you managed to input rim dims? i imagine the default setting will be 18 inch rims, so you would need to duduct 50.8mm to get the correct heights

Dont worry too much about front to rear differences - its side to side that need to be within 2mm of each other according to LR

The body and therefore the arch lips are not symetrical front to rear and LR themselves quote a 10mm difference in the F to R measurements

yes paul i have calibrated once before with the maxidas BUT that was before i had the original problem of the bag bursting since then everything went tits up ! RS2000CUSTOM believe it or not when we did do a calibration ( before the nightmare ) we managed to be EVERY CORNER within 1mm of each other it was awesome but then wen i got home an the bag had burst an it hit the deck its all gone to pot
