No i hadnt ! TBH it all works fine up down fast no faults ? The computer a friend has goes up to 840mm wen u get heights 40mm higher than the t4 landrover has BUT when entering calibration mode the car slightly rises so im worried it will go HIGHER than 840mm seen as though its already sat at 820mm BUT landrover mechanic says he has never known them do this ??????

Or - a PM to eightinavee. He's not on here so much these days, I think he got bored with the same old questions coming up time and again. However the weird and wonderful is what he did for a living, he might still do.

Oh i wat did he do lol ? Ive got a number for landrover uk too

I believe that he is/was the go-to bloke for main dealers with weird problems. Obviously he must have played with Rangies or he wouldn't have been on here. Some of the more technically minded long termers; Wammers, Irishrover or Datatek might know more.

(OK I admit I was going to call them old-timers but I chickened out:D)

did the guy at rr realise you are running on 22 inch rims?as 820 isnt far from what it should be in standard height profile.this is equal to aroud 770 on standard rims. just because he works for a landrover dealer doesnt mean he has a scooby doo what hes talking about. i have first hand knowledge of this :)

I'm slowly learning about the L322 EAS, must say I'm less than impressed, the method of calibration is ridiculous. I agree lots of dealers have no idea and nor do I on this one.:D

+1....

You need to make allowances for the larger rim sizes....

Right guys,
Firstly the T4 computer STRATSTONE LR have does NOT accept 22" rim size ???? 20" is the largest it goes too ???? Secondly the p38 calibration WAS done from hub centre THEN on the l322 it changed to wheel rim bottom to arch THEN guess wat........ after 2007 they bloody changed it to hub centre AGAIN !!!! Is it me or do they like to cause us problems or wat ???? He tried it with 20" as the wheel size but as the max he could input was 800mm an the front is sat at approx 825mm the calibration failed to engage as the readings were out of spec already !!!! Even to computer my friend has is able to input 840mm so why the hell cant THE LANDROVER DEALERS do the same or better ???? Out of curiosity wat is the max input on the RSW allcomms ???? As previously posted by saintv8 the chart shows wat 22" SHOULD be BUT its still approx 25mm - 30mm too high. My only option really, so i dont foooook things up more is to buy some lowering links so i dont have to plug ANYTHING AT ALL in to the tempremental beeeaaattttccchhh !!!!!!

LOL !!! mate i cant afford new wheels now with wat ive already spent AND xmas for two boys else id defo think about it !!! I reckon lowering links are the way forward NOT to pimp it UP just to bring it DOWN to spec lol !!!:D

all you need to do is enter 20 in rims and when you physically measure your heights deduct 25mm and enter theses measurment. simples.

O.K. maybe simplistic thinking but.. . .
If the calibration device is measuring from the bottom of the rim then surely it's not impossible to calculate the difference between drug dealer and normal wheels and if need be make an appropriately sized block, stick it alongside the wheel, and calibrate from the top of the block.

Either that or borrow a set of wheels off something in the dealers second hand lot.

its also the way to lower your suspension. you say you want it leval and 10mm lower so you need to deduct 35 mm on the front and 45 on the rear to achieve this.

opps got that wrong way round, thats how you would level and lift it 10 mm, to level and lower you would deduct 15mm on front and deduct 5mm on the rear :)

Gents, you CANT deduct measurements because if you DEDUCT from the ACTUAL your vehicle WILL HIGHER, to LOWER you must fool it by INCREASING the values !!!!! As ive said the ACTUALS are approx 825mm - 830mm on the front which means id have to INCREASE the measurement to LOWER !!!! The problem is the landrover diagnostic will only go up to 800mm SO by putting in that value IT WILL HIGHER the vehicle as you are fooling it the opposite way !!
watch and listen to what storey says at 7.25mins cheers L322 Range Rover - Air Suspension Calibration - YouTube
PS did anyone find out wat values the allcomms would allow to input ???

i think youre missing the point. you have 22inch rims, the vehicle is unaware of this. thats why you have to enter 20 inch rims and then deduct another 25mm,which is the differance in radius between 20in rims and 22 inch rims
