Coooool looking boat!!!

Of course I know naff all about them, boats I mean.

And that's a Mercury engine, not an "Evenruder"
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

135 hp, that's some engine ain't it?

My first boat was a 17ft fletcher with a 235hp Johnson, bucket seats an a foot throttle, I ran out of fuel first time out &
a nice lad offered me a gallon of fuel to get back up the loch, I said that wont get me back & showed him the boat
his face when he seen the engine 🤣🤣 he said ive been on the loch for 40 years an never seen an engine as big as that.
He ran me to Balloch to fill up jerry cans and brought me back to the boat. Nice chap :)

Reminds me of the bloke who bought a big engined bike despite being rather skint.
He was showing it off to his mates when one of thm asked him "How many does it do to the gallon?"
He said, "Dunno, never had a full gallon in it." 🤣 🤣
Having checked out the Norman Stanley Fletchers I see they are quite a popular boat. But although I didn't look at all of them, none seemed to have more than half that power.
I love the idea of a "nice lad" who has been on the loch for 40 years. 🤣

Had prawns fer tea last nite. Wassa bit risky as eye dun't normally do sea food unless its got bread crums onnit. Keep seeing them in sainsberrys so got some. Web said yer can't cook from frozen. Defrost int fridge over nite. Cook int microwave in short pulses and stir between. We done that and they dint turn to rubba. They were ok burreye couldn't help finking chicken tastes betterer and a lot less risk. Am glad eye made it frew the nite. They may be out me system now or very close. Worst bit were knowing eye hassa stake assa backup. Said stake un chips have just finished cooking fer lunch.

My stake for today is defrorsting as we speak.
Don't fink W will be eating much today. :(:(

Still we had two nice lunches out two days running.

So naffin hot here I have decided to keep all doors and windows shut until it cools down.
W is in bed as her stomach problem is playing her up today. Nothing to do with the meal as far as we can see, more to do with the far distant remnant they have left attached to her for use at a later date!
Have a good rest-of-the-day all!:):):)
It's possibly the heat causing the flare up. Happens with me.

Glad it's cooled down, no idea how it's the back of 3. Did the usual adult stuff and then made some jam. 😁 Now watching shinty and wondering did I accidentally play shiny instead of hockey at school 🤪

Why do I get the feeling that the poor Mrs Steamer is desperately avoiding Stanley Sir!'s company?.

Is she really not hungry, or is he just not looking after her properly?
