The wine is an Eiswein, a sweet desert wine, it'll prolly be fine, as long as it has been stored on its side. If not the cork may have shrunk and let air in.
I know very little about German or Alsace wines, so I am a bit surprised it is is only 9% alcohol.
But unless it was a hugely expensive one it may be a bit past its best.

There is hardly any wood and what is there could be removed and stained or whatever you want to do with it. Wrap it? :rolleyes:
As for the cream leather interior, at least it IS leather, and again leather can be dyed quite easily. OK so it can show the muck, so what, just be careful with it!

We have cream leather, or vinyl in one as that was how I bought it, in all our kit cars, it goes very well with the period. As well as wooden dash and door cappings.

Our Disco anniversary has tan leather and we love it.

It would be out of place in a working tratter, obvs, but in a luxury 4x4? Why not? Unless you think it should only exist in Rollers or Jags.

There is something very immediate post-war about everything that is grey or gunmetal, or "functional". Grey is just such a sad colour, reminds me of all the tombstones and grave covers there are in our local cemetery here.

We had a few drops of rain a while back, but it has been very humid working outside. Not comfortable.

Rain thunder and lightning promised over the next 24 hrs.
We could do with it!
We are now struggling to find cool places to store all the apple juice we have and will be getting more of.
But tasted it this a.m.! Nectar! So much better than even the more expensive and "local" stuff you can buy int shops.

There is a few years between our tastes and it's very much not my taste especially tan seats.

Cream and wood panelling is not an ideal aesthetic but very common in vehicles. What's wrong with a black interior.
 
Afternoon folks :).

Another ott 1 today. Pool is cool though:D(well in comparison).
Last lot of wood delivered and for some reason the pile looks bigger than the others (its the same amount) I guess its because its at the back of the house at the patio. We got it dropped there cos it saves us moving it twice (work smart not hard;)). this will all be stacked undercover and in the rear porch, when the ceiling is up in there.
Tried a test piece of colour to the wood,it can be put up 2 ways so did a bit of both sides to see which is preferred way of putting up and it looks ok either way (it WILL cos I am not doing it twice:p) Its a grey weathered look.

Got some salmon fillets out for tea tonight but M came home with a fresh baked loaf and said she fancied, beans n cheese on thick cut toast. Not gonna argue salmon will be good for tomorrow, (No she's not pregnant:eek:).

We have an all black L322 with Piano black (think its called) interior trim. Spec was Ms choice, I agreed and paid cos it was a great car.
No drug dealer wheels though ;) .

I accept people have different tastes.
But its got green piping:cool:.

"honking" never, Not my taste would be betterer;).

And we all know that the green 1s with piping are fastest:p.

I can also confirm if its a D90 slug, then blue is the slowest, so I can cover both ends of the spectrum:oops:.

Fun fact (not that I can confirm or tried) My 2001 is as fast as our 2011. But if you costed in the original cost with inflation the 2001 probably cost more:).

Glad I never paid for them new;).

I once had a 20-30 something guy +girlfriend in a newer LR , wave me at traffic lights to roll done the window and asked if it was for sale.
So even some youngsters know class.

He said go first old man, I said why? I will beat you to the next set of lights anyway :p.

It's a car with a well known problem that peeps can't fix. The number of engine failures is too high. Hence why they lose value so much. Cream leffer stains easily. New blue jeans will mark it. Like giving it grass stains. Hence darker colours are preferred. Cream leffer looks dirty through modern glass that's coloured. Especially green glass.
